How we work – Ethical Philosophy

• We are a Peruvian based organisation and we use our local knowledge and experience to provide you with the best elective experience.
• We encourage our students who bring some medical supplies to donate them into poor rural clinics where these donations are in great need.
• As we are locals, you will be certain that we support in every way the local producers.

Mundo Verde Team

	Pablo Miranda Jiménez (Managing Director) He is the founder and Managing Director of the Mundo Verde Project. Born in Cusco and raised in a small town in the jungle called Puerto Maldonado. He has a degree on Agricultural engineering with specialty in Sustainable Tourism and Environment Conservation started the Mundo Verde Project in 2002 and they have been working since then. He started running the elective placements programme since 2005 and helped countless students from around the world.
	Ana Miranda Jiménez (Medical Elective Coordinator) Born in Puerto Maldonado in the jungle, she has a degree on Tourism and Leisure and she is in charge of helping students who want to come for a Medical Elective Placement, she’s fluent in English and has been working for Mundo Verde for over 4 years.
	Verónica Miranda Jiménez (Nursing and Physiotherapy Elective Coordinator) Born in Cusco, she is a Nurse and has been working for Mundo Verde for 3 years, well-travelled within Peru and knowledgeable on health topics; she’s also fluent in English and will be of great help to all students joining our Elective Placement Programme.
	David Concha Espejo (Dental Electives Coordinator) He’s a Dentist and he started to work for Mundo Verde last year in 2009, he is in charge of arranging and organising everything for Dental Elective students in Cusco and surrounding areas.
	Francesca Holgado Flores(Medical/Dentistry Helper ,Translator) She is a dentist and works with Mundo Verde for nearly two years now, she is in charge of interpreting during the week in villages programme. She is easy going and has a good sense of humor. Students will love hanging out with her and of course, working with her.
	Peter Skellorn (Mundo Verde Representative in the UK) Former elective student in 2010 from Liverpool University, he helped to plan the current structure of the elective and improve the student experience. He will provide a pre-elective briefing and information evening, where you can ask any questions you like about the elective program and Peru in general prior to your departure, you will also be able to meet other students from the UK who will be on the elective at the same time. 	Kirla Alfaro (Spanish Teacher) Nice and always smiling, she was born in Cusco and has Biology degree; she is in charge of training our elective students in Spanish.
	Dessiree Salas Acurio (Spanish teacher) Dessiree has a degree on Tourism and Leisure, she is also a Spanish teacher and works for Mundo Verde for 3 years. She also has a deep knowledge on Cusco’s traditions and history.
	Ana Velarde (Host Family Coordinator) A “cusqueña” housewife, she is in charge to check that everything goes perfect with students who decide to go with a host family. Speaks good English and makes the students feel at home.
